Special Feature: Printing Web Pages
Question: When I print from a web site, the entire page does not print. My printer cuts off about 7 or 8 characters on the right side of the page. Can I change a setting to print everything?
Answer: Web pages are usually designed for viewing and not for printing. As computer screens get larger and large with better resolutions, web designers are creating pages that are wider and wider.
To print the whole page, you have a couple of choices. One is to print in landscape mode. This will print across the long part of the paper. To do so, click File on the menu and then Page Setup. Look for Orientation, and change from Portrait to Landscape. Print as you normally do.
Another option is to copy the text you want to print and paste it into your word processing program. Here is how to do this:
Highlight only the text that you want to print. Click Edit on the menu, and then click Copy. Open your word processing program. Click Edit on the menu, and then click Paste.
