Today's Featured Computer Term: Easter Eggs
In Computerese, an Easter egg is a special message or screen buried in an application. The message is usually hidden in the code of a program as a joke, intended to be found by persons disassembling or browsing the code.
The message, which can also be a graphic or sound effect, happens in response to some undocumented set of commands or keystrokes. To see an Easter Egg, you need to know a special procedure or sequence of keystrokes. Typically, Easter Eggs are used to display the credits for the development team or to display a humorous message. ******************************************************************** ***
Today's Topic: Accessing Your Desktop Instantly
If you need to open a desktop icon, folder or file, but don't want to minimize or close all your open windows to see the desktop, try this:
Click the Start button, click Run, type a period, and press Enter. You'll see a window containing all your desktop icons, folders and files; you can double click on the one you want.

Progressive Learning Series: Specialty Print Papers
When printing pictures or graphics, you can use a high-quality glossy or coated paper to achieve a photographic quality print. Premium papers can be pretty expensive, so print your drafts on regular paper and switch to the high-priced stuff for the final printouts.
Even though manufacturers, naturally, say that their paper is the only kind you should use, you can try premium papers from other manufacturers and get the same or better results. Different premium papers can vary in price, color and contrast, so you may end up trying several brands before you find the one that meets your needs.
